Lane  Lane DeMeulenaere, Director of Clinic Operations/Registered Veterinary Technician

Lane is from Albany, Indiana, and currently lives in Granger with her husband and two young daughters. She has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for 10 years and is a graduate of Ball State University and Harrison College. She has two bully breed rescues, Lincoln and Kaia. Lane enjoys the fast paced environment at the ABC Clinic and helping care for animals at Pet Refuge as an RVT.

Dr. Marie Bertman began caring for animals while volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society in Milwaukee during college. She received her Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Her work experience includes private practices in Chicago and Idaho, as well as being Chief of Staff for a corporate practice in Los Angeles for five years. She loves cats, dogs, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Bertman and her husband have a full house with their dogs, Piper and Knuckles, and three little girls.

Kim is a surgery assistant and veterinary assistant. Kim has grown up around animals, and continues to surround herself with them. She started her veterinary career in high school working for a local large animal veterinarian. She attended Black Hawk College in Kewanee, IL and studied animal science. Kim has always enjoyed working with animals of all sizes! She has been a volunteer with Pet Refuge for about 3 years as a canine foster parent. Kim has been a part of the ABC Clinic team since its beginning in 2011 and is thrilled to be on board!

Kayleigh has always wanted to work with animals. Growing up, Kayleigh always had pets in the home she cherished. During high school, Kayleigh focused on veterinary technology. She attended Brown Mackie, where she received an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She is currently studying to take her board exam to receive her registration. Kayleigh has enjoyed working in veterinary clinics for five years, two of those years being in California. She owns a total of five pets; a Beagle mix, an Australian Shepherd mix, a German Shepherd, a cat, and a sugar glider.


Allison   Allison Breden, Kennel Attendant/Assistant

Allison has always lived in the Michiana area. She has always had a love for animals and has 4 dogs: Marley, Kandy, Kaine, and Bumper. She also has two horses named Garrett and Fancy. Allison is currently in the process of getting her veterinary technician degree.
